California Passes Strict Consumer Data Privacy Law
(October, 2018) As we reported previously, California has passed a strict new privacy law, similar to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It goes into effect on January 1, 2020. This law applies to businesses anywhere in the world that possess personal information on California residents. Click here for an overview of the law.
