announcing the 2025 Tcata Scholarship recipients
This year’s Scholastic Scholarship has been awarded to Eli Regan, son of Mary Castro-Regan, an employee at BPS Communications, publisher of National Clothesline. Eli’s strong academic record, leadership qualities, and commitment to higher education earned him this $2,000 annual scholarship, which is renewable for up to four years. Outside of academics, Eli is a member and leader of his high school’s FIRST Robotics Competition team, Team 341 “Miss Daisy”, a member of Wissahickon Marching Unit, National Honors Society, and Spanish National Honors Society. Eli also volunteers at a local co-op grocery store and as a docent at Wings of Freedom aircraft museum. Eli plans to study mechanical engineering at Purdue University upon graduation.
We are also pleased to announce the first-ever recipient of the new Vocational Program Scholarship, created to support students pursuing certifications or technical education. Keegan McKillip, an employee of Felins, has been selected for this $2,000 per year award, which supports up to two years of trade or vocational school. Keegan began working at Felins in the summer of his junior year of high school manufacturing parts for their Pak-Tyers and Flex-Strap machines. The following year, he was accepted into the Industrial Equipment Apprentice Program. Keegan plans to continue working with the Service Department at Felins while pursuing an associate’s degree in Robotics and Automation Engineering Technology at Waukesha County Technical College.
Peyton Lane 2024 Tcata Scholarship recipient
Our 2024 TCATA Scholarship recipient Peyton Lane is the daughter of Karen Lane, who works for UNX-Christeyns in Greenville, NC. She will attend Pfeiffer University and major in Exercise Science with the ultimate goal of applying to a Doctor of Physical Therapy program upon graduation. Peyton has been accepted into the Honors College Program at Pfeiffer and will be a member of the Falcons softball team.
Peyton is ranked 5th in her graduating class and is a member of the Beta Club and National Honors Society. She is a pitcher for her high school softball team and has won numerous athletic awards, including Riverside High School Female Athlete of the Year. She is ranked in the top 5 of strikeout leaders in the State of North Carolina this season. Peyton is also active in her community. She has volunteered with various groups such as Roanoke Christian Camp, Special Olympics, 2nd and 7th Foundation Reading Program, and local baseball and softball recreation programs.
In a letter from her high school Principal, Mr. Grantley Mizelle describes Peyton as follows: “What sets Peyton apart is her outstanding character. She exemplifies integrity, empathy, and resilience in all her endeavors. She consistently demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and compassion towards others, making herself a respected and admired member of our school community.”

Edward Wingrove 2023 TCATA Scholarship recipient
Congratulations to Edward Wingrove of Panama City, FL, who has been selected as the 2023 TCATA College Scholarship Fund reciptient. He is the son of Mark Wingrove who works at Jensen USA also in Panama City, FL. Edward was chosen from an outstanding group of applicants. His high school principal describes him as demonstrating great character and diligence in all he does.
After a devastating hurricane hit the area, Edward worked with the Cajun Army to provide meals and supplies to those impacted. Edward is a member of the Student Government Association, National Honor Society, BETA Club, Writing Club, and Key Club all while participating in the school soccer team, marching band, and lacrosse. After his graduation from North Bay Haven Career Academy, Edward plans to attend Florida State University in the fall. While at FSU, he plans to specialize in automation and robotics.
Brooke story 2022 TCATA Scholarship recipient
Congratulations to Brooke Story of Germantown, TN, who has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 TCATA College Scholarship Fund. She is the daughter of Doug Story, who works for UNX Industries of Greenville, NC.
Brooke was chosen from an outstanding group of applicants. Brooke is a National Merit Commended Scholar who scored a thirty-three on the ACT. Brooke has received many honors including invitations to the Medicine and National Security Youth Leadership Forum, selection for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders of Excellence Award, and the Germantown Education Commission Youth Excellence Award.
Brooke runs cross country and has participated as a vocalist, singing in the nationally recognized acapella group, One Voice in addition to volunteering for many community programs. Brooke graduates this year from Briarcrest Christian School. Upon graduation, Brooke will attend United States Military Academy- West Point and serve in the United States Army where she hopes to major in Kinesiology. Upon graduation from West Point, Brooke will be commissioned 2nd Lieutenant.
