Cotter Attends SBA Round-tables
(July, 2018) TCATA CEO David Cotter recently attended a round-table discussion held in Tampa, Florida hosted by the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Advocacy. This government office’s main purpose is to ensure that the impact of federal regulation on small business is considered before being finalized. The purpose of the meeting was for the SBA to hear directly from small businesses about the impact of regulations, and for these businesses to make suggestions on how regulation could be made more effective, less burdensome. Many small business owners spoke about various regulations, with several weighing in on the deleterious effect of the relatively new electronic logging devices (ELDs) required for truckers.
