B & C Technologies Celebrates 25 Years of TCATA Membership

(April, 2026) B&C Technologies of Panama City Beach, FL was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to design commercial laundry equipment that is reliable, durable, and affordable.
The company’s roots go back decades through the extensive industry experience of founder Bengt Bruce, whose career included serving as Chief Engineer at Electrolux-Wascator in Sweden, Vice President of Washex, and later Executive Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing at UniMac. After UniMac’s sale in 1995, Bengt launched BMC Technologies, supplying parts to commercial and industrial laundries while continuing to refine his vision for a better class of equipment.

In 1998, Bengt was presented with the opportunity to become President of IPSO USA. Under his leadership, the company successfully launched a new line of equipment in the US, establishing a strong foothold in the American laundry market. While the venture was successful, it ultimately inspired Bengt to once again strike out independently—this time to design and build equipment that truly met his own high standards.

His goal remained constant: Create machines engineered for long life, simplified maintenance, and dependable performance but without the inflated cost often associated with commercial laundry equipment.

To bring that vision to life, Bengt assembled a skilled engineering and manufacturing team and partnered with Accurate Technologies in Bangkok for sheet-metal fabrication and assembly support. This collaboration allowed B&C to introduce washers and dryers that were ruggedly built, easy to service, and designed for maximum value.

In 2005, Bengt reconnected with longtime industry partner Bob Cowen. Their renewed collaboration strengthened the company’s position, leading to the rebranding of the business as B&C Technologies. Backed by decades of combined expertise and a commitment to engineering excellence, the company continued expanding its product offerings and market presence.

Over the years, B&C Technologies has grown from fewer than ten models to one of the most complete equipment lines available from a single manufacturer. Today, the lineup includes washer-extractors from 22 to 485 pound capacities, dryers ranging from 30 to 475 pounds, stack dryers, drying cabinets, ironers, feeders, and folders. In addition to the expansive line of laundry equipment, B&C also has a complete line of parts available.

From its founding to the present day, B&C Technologies has remained committed to reliability, innovation, and customer value. What began as one engineer’s vision has grown into a trusted, industry-recognized manufacturer with a strong portfolio, dependable equipment, and a reputation for quality and service. Their goal remains unchanged: to provide durable, efficient laundry solutions while building long-lasting relationships with partners and customers.
